    The credit card companies offer sweet deals like these to entice new customers- it’s far more effective than charging a flat 19 or 20 percent. They earn even more in the form of fees , such as balance transfer, late payment, and over-the-limit penalties. These fees add up-taking money right out of your pocket.     If done properly, a zero-interest credit card situation can be beneficial. Transfering a balance from a high-interest card can save a lot of money, but make sure that there is a low or nonexistent balance transfer fee. If the company charges a high enough fee for a balance transfer, that negates any benefit you can derive from it.
